Back in 2017 there wasn’t a lot of 6dof narrative VR. I wanted to tell an original cinematic story, something propulsive and tense, within a medium that was still developing a basic narrative vocabulary.

Dispatch is a 4-part VR narrative that tells the story of Ted, a small-town police dispatcher, caught up in a violent crime spree. Armed only with his wits and imagination, Ted must navigate the tense and vibrant soundscape of 911 calls in order to lead people out of the pathway of a vengeful killer.
