With the release of Childish Gambino’s album impending, Google came to us with a challenge to leverage the artist’s passion for creativity & innovation within the medium of AR.

We created a Playmoji character inspired by Childish Gambino that not only performed Gambino’s iconic songs and dances, but also went a step above: he responded to users’ expressions in selfie mode — in real-time!
